Strong & Empowered Women

Today, I want to take this day to tell you about my blog, its name, and how and why it happened, and why I specifically chose women to be my muse for the blog.

I’ve always been a fan of scripts that motivate people, especially women. We live in a world where men don’t have to think twice before going after their dreams. But for women, some or most of them, it is not that easy. We have to think so many things before we take any step.

But that is not how it is supposed to be. We are aiming for the time when we don’t have to say that she’s the first women to do that, or a group of women did it for the first time. It shouldn’t be like that, a woman achieving something should be as normal as a man receiving something.

This blog is aimed at those girls who know they want big in life, and are needing some inspiration to go ahead for it, and for those who want to do big, and are ready to take control of it.

Every day in our life we pass so many people, you know who catches our eyes? The homeless, and the rich and successful. These are two extremes of any life. The normal average human never leaves quite a remark on our minds, because well — they’re mediocre.

Our life is supposed to be the extremes, we are supposed to stay and live extreme, that’s how our body clock works. We want the whole world or nothing at all. The people who are content with their present life have already given up. They’re rare, and you don’t wanna be them.

Live your life to the fullest, always aim for more.

There comes a day in our life, when we lay in our bed, whether or not we’re breathing our last breath, but — we get flashbacks, of all the things we did in our lives, the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. It all comes to us back in front of our eyes, and then we come back to reality, we look around and see what we have achieved in our life.

Do you think you’re going to be happy when something like that happens and you look around? Have you created the life you pictured for yourself? If not — then why not? What’s stopping you? Probably you are stopping yourself.

Many a time we are our own hinderance, we stop ourselves from taking that one step destined to take us to our dream life. Why? Because society, because children, because husband, because a 9-5 job, because parents. Honestly, the excuses are many, and they are never going to stop. Never.

Robert Frost once wrote in beautiful and popular words, “Two roads diverged in a wood; and I took the one less travelled by.”

I’ve created this blog for and a probably for myself, too, because the questions that come to my mind sometimes get answered when I get down and write.

Get going girl, there’s a world to take over.

Let’s be strong and empowered.

Life in a cycle

Every day we go through the same cycle, the waking up to the alarm, the almost skipped breakfast, the running late to catch the taxi, the long work period, the coming home, having food, and then finally, sleeping, just to wake up to repeat the cycle.

The things go on like this forever, till we are old enough, sitting in a rocking-chair by the window and thinking, “Did I live my life right?”
We come across a few people in our lifetime who broke away from the same cycle of life, who went out the cycle to live their own lives, they decided their own rules and lived along them, and maybe at the start they had to hear mockery from the close ones, but we all know that now people look at them with admiration because they themselves spend a lot of time of the daily life thinking if they should break out of the routine, and if yes, then how?

The Bhagavad Gita — that ancient Indian text — says that it’s better to live your own life imperfectly than to live an imitation of someone else’s life perfectly.
Life is short — I do not need to tell you this, you already know — and we need to build it the way we want, so that when our time comes, we can look at the flash of our lives before us and say, “Yes, I lived it right.”
There are a lot of things we do so that we don’t have to hear things from people so that we are in tune with what other people do, no matter how miserable doing those things makes us feel. It can be as simple as eating that bad-tasting cereal in the morning, to as big as that job which people say is good, but you know how drained and bad it makes you feel. It can be that marriage that you are okay with but that makes you feel dead in life, to that dress you wore to the party that your dresser made you wear but that didn’t go with your taste. It can be as small as a grain of sand, to as big as the mountain. But we need to work for it, for the life that we want, for the feeling of ecstasy that we’ve spent our whole lives looking for, for the peace we will get when our time comes.
Yes, living according to the society feels like the safe choice, but does it give you the satisfaction that life is supposed to give you? The one you read about online and in books? And what are you doing to make it that way? Are you close to reaching that point, or you still have a long way to go?
I hope you’ll take your time after reading this to write down what you want out of your life, and is your present situation going to get you there? Write down what all you need to make it through and get going on it, no matter how slow, but go get your life straight, darling.

Loving yourself

How many of us love ourselves? How many of us really do adore every single inch of our body and every little element of our soul? Well, each one of us should.

The only way you can be truly, madly, and deeply happy is when you love yourself with every ounce of your heart. Being tetchy about something as little as the texture of your hair to something as huge as the story of your life won’t help. I guess everything in your life has a reason behind it, be it why you lost your much-loved sweater or why you couldn’t reach on time on your first date. For the latter I would say, “Maybe you’ve a better date ahead, just a matter of time!”

What really stuns me is the fact that we expect everyone around us, well, if not the whole world, to love us for who we are when we don’t feel the same for our own self. Isn’t it hilarious? You invest in something you expect an outcome from, you fight for the things you believe in, you promote stuff you are interested in and likewise you would expect people to be fond of you if you like yourself in the first place. Now that you get the basic picture let us talk about being happy.

Easier said than done, right? But contrary to what some of us think, it is not rocket science. Remember when you were a little girl and life was blissful? You sure do. The secret behind life being so trouble-free and uncomplicated was that you knew how to be happy with the little things you had. Daddy gifted you a new toy on Christmas, your class in-charge chose you to be the class monitor or one fine day you didn’t get any homework; such little things made you so happy that you used to jump with jubilation. Where did this feeling get lost? Maybe while growing up our expectations grew up too.

Try to find happiness in the little things that happen each day. We usually don’t notice or give luck enough credit for such little packets of joy. What if you got up one day and found some of your hair turned grey due to reasons unknown? Sounds funny, I know! But really, what if one day you don’t even get up to see the next day of your life? Why do we consider the awful things that did happen to us rather than considering the worse things which could have happened? The moment you feel terrible about something just look around. You might find someone in an even more dreadful situation. Had you been in their shoes, you would have been even more miserable that day. Yeah, you might also end up finding someone in the best of their disposition. Don’t you dare feel dejected! It simply wasn’t your day, but luckily days change!

The bottom line here is, you have to follow the golden rule which says, “Love yourself. Try to love the people and things around, too.”  Life becomes effortless.

I’m my favorite person, are you?  Try this and see how the magic works.

Believe you can, and you’re halfway there

You know what sets you free? Believing in yourself.

Nothing in the world can make you feel better and motivated than you yourself. You are your lone source of happiness.
We’ve all heard about manifesting. Whether it works or not, but we sure do know that the more we focus on our happiness and the good in our life, the happier we feel. And the more we think about sadness, the more empty we feel.

So, if that can work for happiness, it sure can work for motivation.

Wake up every day and know that you are going to kill it today. Wake up every day – happy and motivated. Take your time to think about the good in your life and all you want to achieve in that day. Trust yourself. If you won’t trust yourself, then how will others trust you?
You make yourself for the world and your future. If you believe in your future, it will surely happen.

Wake up every day and take five minutes, where you close your eyes and think about the good in your life. Think about all the blessings you have and what all you want to achieve on that particular day.

Thinking about the good in your life can send ‘happy’ signals to your brain, which in turn make you feel good throughout the day. We are our thoughts. Manifest your desires, and you’ll meet them halfway to you.

Practice this for a few days and you’ll see the change in your mood.
